The State Enterprise - The Ukrainian state institute of road facilities design "UKRDIPRODOR" is a member of the State Road Service of Ukraine called Ukravtodor and is one of the leading project organizations of the country’s road industry.
For its contribution to the development and enhancement of road industry in Ukraine the staff of Ukrdiprodor Institute was awarded a Diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
For 65 years of institute’s existence, its staff has performed a significant scope of design and research works aimed at developing and improving of the road industry of Ukraine.
The Institute is responsible for coordination of technical developments in the field of road and bridge design in Ukraine, provision of technical and methodical support to organizations dealing with road-building as well as for studying and summarizing best domestic and international practices of designing highways, bridges and road industry enterprises.
Since it's foundation the Institute has developed designs for construction and reconstruction of about 145 thousand kilometers of highways, thousands of large and medium bridges, many industrial enterprises and production facilities for road-building organizations and dozens of large motor companies. During one year the institute produces documentation for approximately 700 objects, in particular for the construction purposes – 200 objects, for major and medium repairs purposes – 500 objects.
The works are carried out on the basis of the following state licenses of Ukraine:
- License No. 117386AB for contraction activities (engineering and geological research, design works, documents drafting) issued by the State Committee of Ukraine for Construction and Architecture;
- License No. 078439AB for topographic-geological and topographic works issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine;
- License No. 231912AB for mineral prospecting (exploring) issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine;
- License No. 349262АБ for land management works issued by the State Committee of Ukraine for Land Resources;
- License No. 188191АВ for engineering, assembling and maintenance of fire protection means issued by the State Department for Fire Security of the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine;
- License No. 842042 for carrying out passenger and freight traffic issued by the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine.
The Institute has a well-developed and properly functioning system of quality management in place, which complies with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. This fact has been attested by Certificate No.78 100 056917-000 issued by TUV NORD CERT GmbH & CO. KG Certification Association.
The above certificate proves that the institute in capable of ensuring stable quality of designed products and can act as a guarantor for investment companies in their providing significant investment support to the institute.
The above certificate makes it obligatory for each employee to find his/her place in the quality management system, change his/her attitude towards the quality of his/her performance and encourages them to work on a qualitatively new level associated with precise implementation of processes as described in quality management system documents.
The above certificate allows increasing competitiveness of the institute while participating in tenders and receiving orders, strengthening confidence on behalf of the customer, raising institute’s image, ensuring high quality at all design stages and create a basis for improvement of institute’s performance within the quality management system framework.
The Institute consists of 23 sub-divisions located nationwide.
The scope of design and research works has nine times increased for the recent four years and made up UAH 53.8 million in 2004. For the recent four years performance efficiency has 3.8 times increased, and the cost of fixed assets has increased by over 5 times. The institute employs over one thousand persons.
The institute is currently creating prerequisites to make it attractive for both young specialists and professionals with extensive work experience. From the total number of staff employed with the institute over 400 persons are at the age of up to 40, whereas 57 out of 300 persons working in Kyiv central production facility are young specialists.
